What Calibrate offers
The Metabolic Reset: a membership that bundles a clinician, one-to-one video coaching, a curriculum, an app, a smart scale and insurance navigation. Medication is prescribed by the clinician and billed through the member's insurance at a pharmacy (home page, pricing).
Medications: brand or compounded
Brand only: Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Foundayo, with an oral GLP-1 option where injections are unsuitable. No compounded products. A Calibrate FAQ states that only Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly are FDA-approved to make these medications and advises against compounded or online-only vendors.
Price as published (2026-09-04)
$199 a month with a 3-month commitment, $597 payable in three instalments, then month to month. The pricing page lists what is included (a 20-minute video clinician visit with lab review, video coaching, app, scale, insurance navigation) and what is not: medication (insurance-billed; the page says $25 a month or less for most commercially insured members after deductible) and labs (through the member's insurance or copay). The program is HSA and FSA eligible and not covered by insurance itself. The FAQ describes the initial visit as 30 minutes where the pricing page says 20.
Prescriber model
A live video visit is the default. The FAQ describes the prescribers as US-licensed, board-certified nurse practitioners; the terms of use describe providers as licensed physicians. Both documents were live on the same day; the score notes the conflict. The terms name the practices: Calibrate Health Medical P.C., Medical Services of North Madison Square Park P.C., Calibrate Health Medical of New Jersey P.C., Calibrate Health and Medical of California P.C., Calibrate Health Medical of Texas P.A., Calibrate Health Medical of Kansas P.A., Calibrate Health Medical of Hawaii Professional Corporation, and Calibrate Health Medical of Alaska. The FAQ states availability in all 50 states and DC. Follow-up cadence is not described on the pages read.
Pharmacy sourcing statements
Calibrate does not dispense; prescriptions go to pharmacies separate from the practices, typically the member's own. No pharmacy is named and no 503A, 503B or testing language appears, consistent with brand-only, insurance-billed medication.
Refund terms as published
Full refund if cancelled within 72 hours of the initial purchase. After that, no refunds once a term is paid and no waiver of unpaid instalments. After the initial term, cancel at any time by email with 7 calendar days' notice before the next billing date; the cancellation policy and the terms give different email addresses. Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 business days. A Results Money Back Promise returns 50 percent of paid membership fees if a self-pay member who joined after May 16, 2024 has lost less than 10 percent of body weight after 12 consecutive months, subject to compliance conditions from month two, and excluding medication, labs and discounts. We found no stated refund if the clinician does not prescribe.
Support and privacy
In-app AI chat 24/7, support team messaging, a phone line (888-513-8882, voicemail, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm Eastern, callback within 1 to 2 business days), general hours Monday to Friday 8 am to 8 pm Eastern, and email. Stated average response times: medical, insurance and pharmacy, program and billing questions within 1 to 2 business days; refills 4 to 5 business days. No route for urgent clinical concerns is described. The privacy policy (updated August 7, 2026) states no remuneration was received for personal data in the prior 12 months and that mobile information is not shared for marketing; Do Not Track is not supported. A separate notice of privacy practices covers the named practices. LegitScript and Validation Institute seals are displayed.
Regulatory record, primary documents only
We found no FDA warning letter, FDA press release, FTC action, SEC filing, state attorney general release or court filing naming Calibrate on 2026-09-04.
Scores
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Licensure and state coverage | 2 of 3 | All 50 states and DC stated; eight state practices named; no dispensing pharmacy because Calibrate does not dispense. |
| Prescriber model | 2 of 3 | Live video visit by default; FAQ says nurse practitioners while the terms say physicians; cadence not described. |
| Pharmacy sourcing transparency | 2 of 3 | Brand only, member's own pharmacy; no pharmacy named, so the brand-only level 3 condition is not met. |
| Pricing transparency | 3 of 3 | Price, commitment, inclusions and exclusions (medication, labs) on the pricing page. |
| Refund and cancellation terms | 2 of 3 | 72-hour window, email cancellation with 7 days' notice, refund timing stated; not-prescribed refund not stated. |
| Medication supply chain and COA availability | 3 of 3 | Brand only, so the approved products' manufacturer controls apply. |
| Support access | 2 of 3 | Chat, messaging, phone with hours and callback time, email, response times by topic; no urgent clinical route. |
| Privacy | 2 of 3 | Privacy policy plus a separate notice of privacy practices for the named practices. |

What to ask them
- Will my prescriber be a nurse practitioner or a physician, and which practice covers my state?
- If the clinician decides not to prescribe at the first visit, is the $597 refunded?
- What happens if my insurance denies the medication after the 72-hour window?
- Is the initial visit 20 or 30 minutes, and how often are follow-up clinician visits?
- What should I do for an urgent side effect outside 8 am to 8 pm Eastern?
